TIPS FOR MAINTAINING YOUR KAABO ELECTRIC SCOOTER

The key to extending the lifespan of your electric scooter is proper maintenance. You may avoid spending money on replacements by doing simple things like maintaining an inflated tire pressure and never letting your battery stay dead for extended periods of time. In this article, we'll tell you how to keep your Kaabo Mantis 8 or Wolf Warrior in good working condition.

BATTERY

The ternary lithium-ion batteries used in electric scooters have a high energy density, which allows them to store energy for a long time; but, if they are handled improperly, their ability to charge can be reduced.

Your battery will deteriorate if you continuously operate your electric scooter with a fully depleted battery. The battery management system (BMS) can restrict electricity from accessing battery cells when fully depleted for extended periods of time because it thinks the cells are broken. In some situations, you might not be able to charge them at all.

Charge the battery when there is still 10%-20% capacity, do not power on or operate the scooter while charging, which may shorten the battery life.

Never expose the battery to water or strong sunlight, keep the scooter at a dry place.

Tires

An essential part of owning an electric scooter is tire maintenance.  Pneumatic (air-filled) tires absorb shock on bumpy areas and guarantee a comfortable, enjoyable ride. In addition to enabling optimal battery and motor efficiency, properly inflated tires also offer reliable traction on all terrains.

There are two factors at play when tires wear out. Due to reduced tire grip, safety is an issue. The ability of a worn tire thread to traverse wet roads will be inferior to that of a properly threaded tire.

Sharp stones can cut through thin tires, increasing the danger of punctures as tires get older.

Always pump to the pressure recommended by the scooter manufacturer.

Brakes

You need to replace the brake pads on a regular basis. The majority of electric scooters are equipped with mechanical brake systems, such as disc brakes, V-brakes, or drum brakes, unless they have an electric brake system. After some use, brake pads will deteriorate and need to be adjusted to maintain their effectiveness.

Regular Cleaning

Keeping your electric scooter clean will help you avoid issues with the brakes, wheel bearings, screws, and bolts. On an electric scooter, dust and debris can build up on the brake pads, which is harmful. Rust can impair the performance of your wheel bearings. If the screws are rusty and get stuck in the base of the electric scooter, even simple chores like removing the base might become difficult. Use a cloth to wipe out your electric scooter and avoid letting dirt collect underneath it.
